Event description:
The 2024 Winter Training Camp is being hosted by JKA Boston and will also include instructor training. The instructor will be Sensei Shu Takahashi 7th Dan, with the following as assistant instructors:
- Douglas Luft 7th Dan JKA Albany
- Francois Gelinas 7th Dan JKA SKDC Canada
- Robert Jacobs 7th Dan JKA UConn
- Eiji Toryu 7th Dan JKA Boston
- Margaret Thomas 6th Dan Karate Spirit CT
Saturday Jan. 27 schedule:
- 1:15 pm – 2:00 pm Registration
- 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Training
- 3:45 pm ~ 4:45 pm *Mini Tournament and Judging practice
- 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm Dinner at University cafeteria
- After dinner ~ 6:00 pm Party next to cafeteria
*The Mini Tournament is only for selecting participants for the 16-18 year-old boys division to go to the National Team Selection that will be held in New Orleans. We can send only 4 participants in each division.
Sunday Jan. 28 schedule:
- 8:15 am – 9:00 am Registration
- 9:00 am – 11:00 am Training
